“It is my desire to get into our communities and speak personally with as many of you as possible. Rural North Carolina lags in recovery and our infrastructure needs range from water and sewer projects, broadband internet service, or fixing sinkholes in downtown areas. It may be putting signage on a major highway to attract motorist to our business areas, or, getting approved a specialized license plate which would call attention to our region’s historical and natural beauty. I recognize these needs, have addressed them as they have come up in our communities, and honestly, “No” is never an acceptable answer. Even though, unemployment rates have improved, the median household income is still below the state’s median income. My goal is to address our infrastructure needs, so, we can retain, recruit and bring better paying jobs to rural North Carolina.”
“As we move forward, providing our children with the best possible education in a safe environment is a top priority while restoring schools to their communities and families. I oppose all forms of socialism, the teaching of critical race theory and the indoctrination of our children. Teachers and school personnel deserve our recognition and respect. ”
“We must continue our efforts to restore our economy concentrating on job creation and workforce development. Agribusiness is important to North Carolina and we must support and protect our farmers (Right to Farm Act). While manufacturing is not the major employer it once was in our state, it remains an important economic engine.”
“North Carolina’s economy continues to recover after the pandemic , but, because while in the General Assembly we "saved for a rainy day", the demands of our State have been met. Jobs are available and we need to get people back to work."
“Public safety is currently on everyone’s mind, and we must continue our efforts to allow individuals the ability to protect themselves, their families, and their properties.” (Sponsored "Castle Doctrine, 2011)
“I would be remiss not to take this opportunity to thank our local law enforcement officers, emergency management, healthcare workers and firefighters who put their lives on the line every day to provide safety and protection to our communities. We truly owe them a debt of gratitude, as well as, our military, past and present. As we move forward, I will be working to improve our ability to attract and retain local law enforcement and safety officers, as well as, those at the State level.”
“During these difficult times, it was an honor for me to serve in the North Carolina State Senate. It is an awesome responsibility and one which I did not take lightly. Creating opportunities for working families, job creation, and higher wages are of great importance to me as I work to make government more efficient. Like each of us, "Government must spend within its means.”
“In closing, I ask for, and, thank you for your continued support and vote in the May 17th, 2022 Republican Primary to allow me to be your conservative and responsible voice in Raleigh.”
